I am currently enrolled within the Media Science program in an effort to gain my certification required within the state of GA to maintain employment within the library. 

Thus far, I have obtained a Bachelor of Education, a Masters in Curriculum and Instruction, a Specialist in Educational Leadership, and I am now working on my Media Certification.

I have worked for Richmond County School System for over 20 years. I have taught 14 years in an elementary setting, worked 5 years as a Technology Instructional Coach, when the grant ran out, I transitioned to the media center.

I currently serve as the media specialist in an elementary school in Hephzibah, GA.

As the world was beginning to shut down for Covid, I began working as a Technology Instructional Coach. I focused on teaching teachers how to create classrooms in Canvas. I later transitioned to teaching teachers how to make online learning more engaging for students (in middle school and high school). 

This year has been one of the toughest years I have faced. My son was deployed from June 2025 to April 2026. My husband has been deployed since August 2025, he is set to return in just short of 2 months! My daughter is currently attending GA Southern, so it has just been my dog and I holding it down!
