Saint Rose of Lima was born in Lima, Peru, in 1586. Her real name was Isabel Flores de Oliva. She was a religious and kind woman who helped poor and sick people. She dedicated her life to God and became the first saint born in the Americas. She died in 1617 and is the patron saint of Peru.
