The Sky above the ocean shimmered with a thousand twinkling stars. In her cozy seashell-shaped house, Bubbles, a pink, fluffy octopus, was settling down for the night.

Suddenly, a soft jing-jing drifted through the quiet night.

Bubbles blinked. "What's that sound?" She whispered.

Outside floated a glowing bubble, as bright as moonlight and big enough to sit in. It shimmered with evey color of the rainbow.

"I wonder where you're going," Bubbles murmured. She stretched out one wiggly arm and climbed inside.

With a soft whoosh, the bubble lifted Bubbles higher and higher. Ocean waves sparkled beneath her, and stars swirled all around.

Then the bubble dipped deep beneath the sea and entered a hidden cove behind a curtain of coral. The jellyfish there glowed only faintly.

Bubbles straightened her arms bravely. "Don't worry. I will help you find it."

She searched narrow coral caves and seaweed forests. Silver fish darted past like streaks of lightning.

In the forest, Bubbles met a tiny seahorse. "Have you seen a glowing pearl?" she asked

"I saw something bright near the coral cliff," the seahorse said.

At the cliffs sat a round red crab wearing a tiny shell hat. He grinned and shared a riddle:

“To find the pearl and save the night,
Seek what sleeps but holds the light.”
