On one warm morning, all the animals were excited and preparing for the garden gathering. "come and celebrate!" they said.

Meet Piko, piko was a small parrot with brilliant beautiful feathers. 

His wings were ruby red, sunny yellow, leafy green and ocean blue. When sunlight touched them, they shines bright.

    Piko looked at other garden birds, they have          brown, white, gray and blue feathers. 

    "Everyone will look at me," he worried. "I look         very different than other" he thought.

Piko collected large brown leaves and tucked them over his feathers.

Fold and hide, feathers inside.

"There," he whispered. "Now nobody will notice me."

Piko tried to join the celebration. 

Wobble, Wiggle, Tumble, BUMP!

The leaves covered his eyes and tangled around his feet. "This does not feel like me," he sighed.

Bella Butterfly fluttered through the garden.

Flit, Flap, Flutter!

She noticed piko sitting alone beneath a tree. "May i sit with you?" Bella asked. 

"Why are you hiding?" Bella asked. 

Piko looked down. "My feathers are different. I am afraid that others will not accept me." Bella listened without interrupting piko.

Bella pointed around the garden. "Look closely. The roses are smooth, the poppy have thin petals, and mimosa are spiky." Piko looked around. "They are all different," he said.
