In a mystical, magical, far-away place lived a 

monster named Stan and his best friend Ace.

       Stan and Ace were quite the pair. Stan 

       was a monster, Ace was a bear.

       Stan big and green, a little bit scary.

       Ace small and cute a little bit hairy.

They lived among creatures of all different sort. 

Iguanas and monkeys, hippos that snort.

Elephants, dragons, tigers and dogs.

Horses, raccoons and slippery green frogs.

Most were quite friendly and got along fine, 

except for the monkeys who got out of line.

They liked to be naughty and tricks they would 

play. Precisely what happened that dark, 

stormy day.

 The winds were a howling, the ocean was 

rough. The boat could not take it, it had had 

quite enough.

At the helm of the boat was Dane, ever so 

brave. As his boat tossed about, crashing over 

each wave.

Onto the shore the boat landed quite hard. 

Throwing Dane from the vessel a couple of 

yards.

The monkeys were happy to see such a sight.

Mischief was brewing, would happen by night.

As Dane looked up he stared into the face of 

green monster Stan and little bear Ace.

"Hello there!" they said. "What is your name?"

Dane smiled weakly and said "my name's 

Dane".

Dane explained what had happened and how he 

got there. Stan listened politely as did his friend 

bear.

"I was traveling the world for adventure", Dane 

said, "but I find myself here stranded instead".

"We'll help you," said Stan, "come right this 

way". "We'll take you to our home and there 

you can stay".

We'll invite all our friends to meet you", he said. 

"And when you get tired we'll put you to bed".

So off Dane did follow to Monster's and Bear's.

They sat by the fire in nice comfy chairs.

All of the island creatures did come. A party 

was had, so very much fun.

Eating and drinking, dancing and song.

Everyone happy; they all got along.
