Dear Diary,
Oh what holly jolly we have been in! My 'absence redo' is really working out for me! Okay, okay. Let me back up just a little bit. After my Pre-Algebra teacher told my parents, I came home and my house was a pool! I found my parents eavesdropping in the living room, and my baby brother Zack was staring at them like he was saying, "What the heck...get it together!" It turns out that they were crying not just because of my absence, but the explanation my teacher gave them as well. After I reassured them I survived, they started bursting into tears EVEN MORE! And I think I remember saying, "What the heck is with you guys?", but I don't really remember, since that was almost a month ago. Anyways, I clearly remember my baby brother Zack say his first word: "Aw-wee." And that made my heart feel warm.

LOVE...OVERFLOW...
AW-WEE.
Then, they say something that makes my heart feel as cold as untouched stone: "Ari Lapis Dripstone, you are banned--from ever going to Middle School--again!" "What?!" I scream, and then my Dad says something that doesn't make any more sense, given the 1 number and 2 words he said. "For 3 weeks!" That's what makes it out of the ordinary. Saying 'your never going to Middle School again for 3 weeks' doesn't even make sense at all. But then again, adults these days are tired because these days, parenting is hard, I've learned.

WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!

PARENTING IS HARD...

Dear Diary,
Kai invited me over to her house today for a sleepover. I told my parents and expected them to eavesdrop and tell me that I had to stay there, but they just shrugged and said okay. So, I guess I am walking past my Middle School while shouldering my Overnight Bag.
When I finally made it to Kai's house, it was about sunset, and she told me she wanted to be a little naughty. So I guess this means that I'm in for trouble.

LET'S BE A LITTLE BIT NAUGHTY, ARI! NAUGHTY LIKE THE TIME YOU HIT ME WITH THAT PICKAXE!
OKAY...
So while her Dad was working, we snuck past him--at least Kai refers to it like that. "Hey! What are you girls doing?" Kai's Dad asked us on our way out. I can't believe Kai did this: She lied. That is so unlike the Kai I know! She said, "Just going outside to watch the sunset and stargaze." "Okay, just watch out for hostile mobs!" Her Dad responded, but me and Kai were already out the door. She took out some seeds from a briefcase lying atop a wooden table and started feeding mobs that weren't chickens! "Good luck with my Dad cleaning up the Poop and the Vomit!" Kai chuckled. We saw Efe and we both gave her a wave--at least I thought Kai did.
