What he saw was a lot of magma and some igneous rocks, which are made by
when it cools! Sometimes the pressure and heat from the magma and the volcano
can make metamorphic rocks instead.

made the land look the way it looks today. Continental Drift is the
idea that the continents used to all be together, but then they
slowly drifted apart.

There are some of the same fossils on certain different continents. Not only
that but some of the continents fit together like a puzzle! It all makes sense!
