Talia Joy Castellano was born August 18, 1999
and died July 19, 2013. She was born in
Goldenrod, Florida and was a American
teenager who became a very inspirational
person with her public battle with cancer. She
was a professional YouTube Makeup Guru, who
lost her battle with cancer on July 16 2013.

Talia Joy was a 13 year old cancer patient who has
inspired many people by telling her 5 year cancer
journey. On August 7th, 2012 Talia opened her laptop
and video taped a video on YouTube. She said
"Basically, I have two types of cancer in my body, they
are both very, very serious, and very, very, aggressive
cancers and they spread very quickly and they are both
very, very deadly." She spoke frankly and maturely in
this video which was her latest video blog which has
broken hearts and inspired many people and got over
60,000 views.

Talia was 7 years old when she was diagnosed
with neuroblastoma, the only thing that could ever
take her down. When she underwent treatments
and therapies she was told she was cancer free.
But she relapsed, which meant she was alright for
a little while but then she got worse. During that
time she was told she had myelodysplastic
syndrome a.k.a prelukemia and progressive
neuroblastoma. There were no treatments to
tackle both problems at the same time so she was
given only months to live. But thankfully there was
a drug therapy that gave her an extra 11 months
which I'm positive she was very thankful for.

Talia started using makeup when she was 7 years old,
after she was diagnosed with cancer. Talia started her
own YouTube channel, called Taliajoy18. Talia gave her
subscribers makeup tutorials and uploaded vlogs that
talked about her cancer. She now has over 1,000,000
subscribers. Talia has been on numerous national
television shows. In September 2012, Talia was on the
Ellen Show. Talia saw this as her chance to shine, a
way to leave behind a legacy for her fans, friends and
family. Talia wanted “to leave her footprints and hand
prints” on this world so she will never be forgotten. She
was known for being upbeat and positive when she was
talking about the endless battle with cancer.

Talia Joy was very inspiring and she effected so many people in
so many positive ways. Even though she had cancer she was
bursting with positivity and energy. When people asked her
"How do you stay so positive?" She says "When people ask me
that, what do you want me to do, be depressed? I mean a little
fishy told me, "Just keep swimming, just keep swimming!" Talia
makes young girls, young adults, adults, anyone, feel beautiful
by using make-up tutorials. She inspires people to live their
lives to the fullest and to love themselves as they are. Because
of her inspiring cancer journey lots of cancer patients, regular
kids, an even celebrities look up to this beautiful amazing
warrior. Not only that but she collaborated with an Orlando
based foundation to give support to kids with cancer in central
Florida.
