     A long time ago lived a happy family that had a 

handsome father and a beautiful mother.They had a 

perfect baby girl.Where they lived there was almost 

always green grass on the ground and the trees were 

pretty.But awful things can happen to anybody or to any 

family.And it happened to the very happy family. The 

beautiful mother got very ill and died.But before she 

died she told her daughter Ella that no matter what 

happens to be kind.And now the family was just the 

handsome father and his daughter Ella.Ella's father was 

lonely so he got married to a women who was lonely to. 

She had two daughters Molly and Polly.Marie the 

stepmother acted like she cared for Ella until her father 

left for a work trip.Marie moved Ella to the basement 

and turned her into a servant.Ella's father died on his 

work trip and Ella was very sad.

     Ella sometimes had to sleep by the fire to get warm. 

One morning she woke up by the fire and cinder was all 

over her face so her stepsisters and her stepmother 

started calling her Cinderella.They also called her servant 

girl.Cinderella had to clean everything and she had to 

make them food.

     One day a page came to their house and gave them 

an invitation to a contest to see who would marry the 

prince.It said everyone could go but the princess who 

won the pair of gloves would get to marry him.

marry the prince.If you 

win the gloves you will 

get to marry him!

     Cinderella wanted to go but her stepmother said 

she can go if she cleans the house and makes her own 

dress in time for the contest.She cleaned the whole 

house and made her own dress right in time.But when 

she went to show her stepmother she said,"You can't 

go in those old rags they are falling apart." as she said 

that to her the stepmother ripped her dress and made 

holes in it.

     As her step family left for the contest Cinderella ran 

after them but fell and started crying.But all of the 

sudden Cinderella heard a poof.When she turned around 

she saw a beautiful women in the most beautiful 

dress.She asked,"Why are you crying?"

     Cinderella asked her,"Who are you?"

     "I am your Fairy Godmother,and I have come to help 

you go to the contests,"she said

     "But I can't go in this dress,"said Cinderella

     "Your right you can't go in that dress but you can go 

in this one,"she said while she was thinking about what  

she should do.

     All the sudden there was another poof and Cinderella 

looked down and saw a beautiful pink dress. She felt her 

hair and it felt different.The fairy godmother held up a 

mirror and Cinderellas hair was up in a pretty bun.

     The Fairy Godmother asked,"Do you have a pumpkin, 

an orange,or a grapefruit?"

     Cinderella said,"No but I have a watermelon.

     "Okay I have never tried a watermelon before",The 

Fairy Godmother said but I can try.

     Poof the watermelon turned into a carriage.The Fairy 

Godmother got two mice for horses,one chicken to drive 

the carriage,and two lizards for coachmen.

     "I still cant go",said Cinderella because of my shoes 

they don't go with my dress.

     "Well why didn't you just say so?"said the Fairy 

Godmother.And there was one last poof and Cinderella 

had pretty pink shoes.

    "Go hurry you are going to be late",said the Fairy 

Godmother.

     "Okay",said Cinderella thank you for the stuff.

     "Your welcome",she said back.

     "Oh I almost forgot to tell you the magic only last 

until midnight."

     "That will be more than enough time for me",said 

Cinderella.

     When Cinderella got to the contest they were just 

about to start.The first contest was to see who could 

change into a different dress the fastest.The second 

thing they did was to see who was the most 

beautiful.The third thing they did was to see who had 

the prettiest hair.The fourth thing they did was to see 

who could walk in heels the best.The last thing they did 

was measure there hands to see what size gloves they 

needed in case they were the winner of the contest.
