During spring break of 2015, my mom surprised me by planning a trip 

to Walt Disney World for just the two of us. It takes about twenty four 

hours to drive to Orlando, Florida, which is where Disney World is 

located. That is a very long time! Because it takes so long to drive, my 

mom and I decided to fly. I had never flown before, and sat by the 

window. I loved seeing the white, fluffy clouds right outside the 

airplane!

When we got to the airport in Orlando, we collected our luggage, and 

took a taxi to our hotel. I noticed right away that the weather in 

Florida was very warm and sunny. I loved looking at all of the palm 

trees along the streets. Once we arrived at the hotel, we went to sleep 

to prepare for the long and exciting week ahead of us!

When we woke up the next morning, it was time to board the shuttle 

bus that would take us to our first destination! Both my mom and I 

were very excited. 

We spent our first day in Orlando shopping at Downtown Disney. There 

were a lot of other people doing the same thing we were, and it was 

obvious that Orlando is a very busy place. We ate lunch at Planet 

Hollywood, which is a restaurant that has props and costumes from all 

different kids of movies as decorations. Our first day was the most 

relaxing of all.

During the second official day of our vacation, we went to the Disney 

parks! The first park we visited was Hollywood Studios. Some of the 

highlights of this day were riding Rockin' Roller Coaster, which goes 

from 0-60 miles per hour in less than 2 seconds, seeing Beauty and 

the Beast the musical, meeting Mike and Sully from Mosters Inc., and 

meeting Mickey Mouse!

Day three of our Disney trip was spent in my favorite park... The 

Magic Kingdom! There is so much to do and see there. Cinderella's 

Castle is my favorite part of Disney World. There are always families 

taking pictures in front of it, and it looks beautiful lit up at night! 

Magic Kingdom also has fun rides like Splash Mountain, Space 

Mountain, and The Haunted Mansion. There are even parades that go 

through the streets and the center of the park! My mom and I had so 

much fun on our third day!

We went to Animal Kingdom for our fourth day of vacation. Walking 

through Animal Kingdom is like walking through a forest. There are so 

many trees and a lot of wildlife. While we were at Animal Kingdom, we 

watched the musicals The Lion King and Finding Nemo.
