Steve Jobs was born to 

an unmarried couple and 

was immediately adopted 

by Paul and Clara Jobs. 

They named him Steve.

Steve was a bright young 

man, but he had to 

switch schools because 

he was not enjoying 

school. He passed middle 

school and graduated 

from high school in 1972. 

Steve Jobs attempted to  

go to college with his 

parents funding him, but 

then dropped out to 

pursue his career in 

electronics.

his interests in electronics and 

computers. 

Steve worked at an electronic company and 

partnered with his old friend Steve 

Wozniak. Together, they built the very 

first Apple computer in Steve's garage. It 

was definitely not a hit, but they did sell 

some models.

Jobs and Wozniak began to make more 

computers, including the Apple II and 

Macintosh, and Apple  

was being noticed nationally. Jobs became 

high up on the corporate ladder but was 

fired because he was out of control often.
