Indianapolis is the capital of Indiana. Indianapolis became the capital of
Indiana on January 10th, 1925 when the capital was changed from Corydon.
Indianapolis used to be a swamp before it became a city. The swamp was
called the Fall Creek Settlement. Indianapolis was founded in 1821 and was
only one square mile. It only had one street. Indianapolis had a population
of about 600 people in 1821.

Butler University is a private university located in Indianapolis. Ovid Butler
founded Butler University in 1855. Butler has over 60 areas of study in six
colleges. The people and students at Butler are very nice. You can see
space at the observatory and the ballet at Clowes Hall. Blue 3 is the Butler
bulldog and is always walking around and you can pet him! Butler is the
best university.

Curve. The Learning Curve is on the Children's Floor of Indianapolis Public
Library's Central Library. It has a lot of books, story time, Lego robots,
puppets, a green screen, games, and special programs for kids.

If you are a sports lover you should go to Hinkle Fieldhouse. The basketball
arena is located on Butler University's campus. Hinkle Fieldhouse was
originally called the Butler Fieldhouse but was renamed in 1966. Hinkle
Fieldhouse is the sixth oldest college basketball arena still in use in the U.S.
Many different sports play there like basketball and volleyball. Hinkle also
has a concession stand with refreshments and snacks.

Riley Hospital is a hospital for children who need care. They take care of
kids because they matter. Riley will help any child no matter what they look
like. The hospital has special sections where they take care of kids. The
hospital has therapy dogs. Dogs and cats can help kids feel better. People
in the hospital take care of cancer, asthma, hearing, diabetes, and broken
bones.

The purpose of Banker's Life is a place for people to play sports. Some of
those sports are basketball and ice hockey. You can also go to concerts!
There is a giant gift shop where you can buy jerseys but they are kind of
expensive. Paul George, David West, and George Hill all play there on the
Pacers! Banker's Life hosts a few hockey games.

Our school is very fun. We have a REALLY cool website called DreamBox. It is a
really fun game of math. The teachers are extremely nice. We learn amazingly
cool things like punctuation, the Pledge of Allegiance, community, science, and
numbers. Our school is a community. We have very nice teachers! They are
really good at teaching us about art, reading, writing, math, and music. There is
a craft room. In the craft room we play with clay, we play in the light room, we
draw in the cooking area, and play on computers. We really like it here at the
Butler Lab School!!
