3) Remove Non-Digested Food from the Body

Organs Needed: Brain,
Spinal Cord, Neurons
Functions:
1) To gather and interpret information from
stimuli
2) To respond to information

Process that occurs
during the firing of a
neuron. The shape of the

Neuron: electrically
excitable cell
Skeletal System:
Bones comes
in all sorts of
shapes and
sizes. There
are 206
bones in an
adult body!
Organs Needed: Bones, Cartilage, and
Ligaments
Functions:
1) Protect the organs
2) Provide shape and
support to body
3) Allows for movement of the body
Circulatory System:Major Organs Needed: Heart, Veins,
Arteries, Capillaries and Blood
Functions:
1) To transport the necessary materials such
as nutrients and oxygen from the cells back
to the heart just like a bus gets kids to
school and back home.
