   Skyler Jones was sixteen years old, and a very careless, daring 

girl. Her and her friends would play truth or dare all the time, 

but she was never afraid to choose dare. Skyler also loved getting 

on her phone. She would chat with all of her friends for hours. 

Well, one day she was walking home from school with her best 

friend Carrissa Peyton and they were playing truth or dare. 

"Truth or dare," asked Carrissa? "Dare," answered Skyler. " I 

dare you to...um..... friend   a stranger on Facebook. Skyler went 

home and greeted her mother, Rebecca. Skyler's father, Jerry 

works at the police station until 6:00 p.m. After Skyler had eaten 

a snack, she went upstairs to complete Carrissa's dare. 

   She turned on her phone and logged onto Facebook. She 

started looking up random people and she found a tall, white 

man with a beard and black hair. His profile said his name was 

Bernard Kale and he lived in California. 

   Skyler thought to herself,this guy lives in California and I live 

in New Jersey, that means he will never find me. Skyler clicked 

on the friend request button. Then she turned off her phone and 

took a nap.

   A few days later she was on facebook and a notification popped 

up. It said that someone had accepted her friend request. She 

looked at the notification and it said BERNARD KALE 

ACCEPTED MY FRIEND REQUEST! Skyler was so shocked that 

when she read it, she fell off her bed. Skyler could not believe her 

eyes.

   Skyler typed to Bernard and said, "Thanks for accepting my 

friend request. "No problem," answered Bernard. "Well bye," 

said Skyler. "See you later," answered Bernard. After that Skyler 

shut her computer and layed on her bed. 

   She kept thinking about what Bernard said last "See you later." 

Then she came up with an explanation. "He must of meant Talk to 

you later." After that she covered up in her bed and took a nap. 

When she woke up Skyler's dad, Jerry was home. They all sat 

down and ate dinner. After dinner, Skyler washed the dishes. 

When she was done she turned the lights out, went upstairs, and 

went to bed. 

   The next day she went to school and told Carrissa she did the 

dare. After school Skyler showed Carrissa on her phone. When 

Skyler got home it was three thirty. Skyler ate a snack, watched 

some tv, then went to her room and got on her phone. She got 

Facebook and her account said that Bernard Kale had messaged 

her. He kept asking her what school she went to, but Skyler told 

him that information was none of his business.  

That night Skyler's parents went out on a date night and Skyler 

was alone. Skyler was sitting in her room, on her bed. She heard a 

knock at the door and went downstairs to answer it. When she 

opened the door there was no one there, so she went back 

upstairs, and into her room. Then she heard someone knock 

again. She went back downstairs, but no one was there. She went 

back upstairs, but when she opened the door to her room and 

walked in, a man put a bag over her head. He grabbed her and 

stuffed her in a car. While the car was moving Skyler was so 

freaked out that she thought this was a dream. All of a sudden 

after about twenty minutes of driving she felt the car stop, and 

heard the man get of the car. He opened Skyler's door and 

grabbed her. Skyler could hear this man unlocking the door to a 

house, and he grabbed Skyler to take into the house. After they 

got in the house, this man took the bag off her head and threw 

skyler on a dirty floor with a broken window.
