A time before the world had color;
animals wondered why the world was so dull.
So they went on a mission. But, you see it was not easy. They needed to
follow a map, a map called "Mapilossious,"
which was the hardest map to follow ever printed.

It had you go on the roughest terrain on Earth. Through dangerous
moutains and bridges with long complicated names. The map was not just
anywhere out in the open. It was hidden down deep in the ground.
But, someone, somewhere found the map.

It all started when Misto the mouse was about to give birth to her new babies.
She needed a place for them to lie without getting hurt
so she dug a deep hole in the ground.
She dug day and night until it was time for her to have her babies.

Five years later: Misto was cleaning the den and ran into a small paper just big
enough for her to see. She thought it looked like a map, so she opened it.
Sure enough, she had the most powerful map ever printed. Misto put the map
in her back pocket and started cleaning again.
Later that day her oldest, Milo, saw the map in her back pocket.
He ran over and snatched it and screamed,
"I got your paper!"

Milo ran out of the den and showed his friends. His friends told their parents and their
parents wanted to know what this "color" thing was. So they asked Misto if they could
follow the map. Mito said,
"I am saying yes but, the map warns you that this trip is very dangerous.
So it's your fault if you get hurt."

The parents took Misto's
advice into consideration.
They trained for the
adventure for eight
months, day and night.
The map was kept safe
until it was finally time to
set off.
When it was time, they
saddled their beetles,
grabbed the map
and set off.
