Once upon a time, near the coast of Manhattan,
There lived a King and a Queen on the Island of Staten.
The Queen she was beautiful, with long silky hair,
And the King's bright blue eyes were both honest and fair.
The two loved each other, had riches and more,
But something was missing, a child to adore.
Soon thereafter, blessed beyond compare,
Two children were born, with blue eyes and blonde hair.

Princess Emma was the first of the twins to be born.
Like her mother, her wit was as sharp as a thorn.
If anyone needed her, she would undoubtedly be,
Reading books in her corner of a library.
Prince Cameron was next to be born that day.
Charming and courageous, his father would say.
He would run through the castle in the blink of an eye,
And if he fell, he'd stand up to give it one more try.

The King and The Queen had a royal obligation,
To aid the people who lived in their nation.
The Queen stayed with her twins, though she knew this must end,
For eventually, she needed to aid her husband.
The Prince and the Princess soon had grown
Enough they could live in the castle alone.
When her children would cry, The Queen said "Now don't you
fret!"
"I will return with your father each day at sunset."

The first week was lonely, throughout most of the day.
No one in the castle had wanted to play.
The King and Queen were present at morning and night,
But the course of the day seemed to have no end in sight.
"Oh sister," said Prince Cameron in the most hopeful way,
"Do you want to come join me outside to play?"
"Cameron be serious." Princess Emma replied,
"Mother told us we're too young to venture outside."

Both took a deep breath, then let out a sigh,
Then yelled, "I wish a new friend would just fall from the sky!"
Suddenly, the clouds rolled in and the castle did shake.
Was it thunder, a twister, perhaps an earthquake?
The castle stood still, but what an incredible sight.
A figure floated from the window, bathed in bright light!
She landed with grace, almost like an illusion.
"Who are you?!" The twins said with fright and confusion.

"My name is Cecile!", the girl did exclaim.
"May I be so kind as to ask for your names?"
"My name is Emma. This is Cameron my brother,"
"How did you get here?" she asked, "Were you sent by our
mother?".
"Incorrect!", said Cecile, "I came at your request!"
"Now please tell me your wish and I will handle the rest!"
Cameron jumped up and shouted "Our wish! It came true!",
"Cecile answered our call, she'll be one more to our two!"

The twins knew of their fortune, they loved one another.
They simply longed for a friend to join the sister and brother.
Cecile understood the twin's great dilemma,
So she offered this solution to Cameron and Emma.
"Alright," she declared, "I've decided to stay.",
"First things first my new friends, before we can play.".
"I am made of magic, only seen through young eyes.",
"Keep this secret and I'll return at sunrise.".

Emma and Cameron cheered and shouted with glee.
"A new friend! A new friend! For you and for me!"
They all joined hands and began jumping around,
The twins could not believe the new friend they had found!
As the hours flew fast, the sun began to set.
Cecile's light was fading, the twins were not finished yet!
"Oh Cecile!" said the children, "Please do not go!"
"Fear not you two, I will be back tomorrow!"

And with those words, a sparkle, and a glimmer of light,
Cecile slowly faded into the night.
Emma and Cameron were sad, but still they would pray,
For they knew if they wished it, she'd be back the next day.
The next day, The King and Queen kissed their children goodbye,
To return when the sun fell below the sky.
The two then hurried to where they met their friend,
Hoping yesterday truly happened and wasn't pretend.
