OMG!!! Tomorrow is the big day! I have been

waiting for this day for 10 years. Tomorrow is May

25, MY DOUBLE DIGITS BIRTHDAY!!!

My mom isn't very happy about this day,

she says I'm growing up too fast,

but I'm ECSTATIC!!!

I feel like I should have a so much to do

but I really don't because my family

planned it all out. I'm going to the movies with

my closest friends to see my favorite movie.

OOOOOHHHHH!!! I JUST CAN'T WAIT!!!

For now I guess I better listen to my mom

and get to bed, she's right,

Tomorrow is the big day!

Yeah!!! Today is the day! My DOUBLE DIGITS

BIRTHDAY!!! I'm so super excited, I just want to

get out of bed, get dressed, stand at the front door

and wait for my friends to arrive. But it's only 6:00

o'clock and no one's coming over till 3:00, so I guess

I have some time. I am filled with so much joy to be

the big ONE ZERO THE BIG 10!!! Just imagine all

the things I will be able to do, the doors that will

open for me on my journey into a teenage life. Can

you just imagine??!!

I am going to be an official preteen, although

my mom thinks it starts at 11 but I know it starts at

10. I'm going to start acting older and guess what,

I'm that much closer to watch all the cool PG13

movies. My mom won't let me watch them till I'm 13,

she loves following rules. I also will get to go to the

mall with my friends. I always see cool teens hang

out in the mall when I go with my mom and I think

how lucky they are to hang out with their friends and

no parents. Can you imagine how COOL that is?! CAN

YOU JUST IMAGINE??!!

FABULOUS

OMG!!! This is it!!! I just heard the doorbell! Let

me looks at myself in the mirror one more time. I

picked out my birthday outfit, because that's what

kids in double digits do you know. I have to say I

did a great job and I look FABULOUS!!!

OK time to go downstairs and see my friends, my

mom is calling me. OOOHHH! My mom decorated

and the house looks FAB! My friends are here

we're all screaming with so much excitement my

little brother is covering his ears. But I don't

care the little stinker can't ruin this great day

for me.

opportunity to be a part of
the school's Emerging Writers Club.
She learned a lot and was inspired to
write this book about turning double
digits. It's a 9 year old girls take on
