Elizabeth is a little girl. She is different though. Elizabeth 

has autism.

Autism makes learning very hard for her. Elizabeth also 

can't talk. She can say words but not in sentences. 

Because of this, other girls don't play with Elizabeth. 

They think she is weird.

In October, school changed for Elizabeth. Two kids 

started coming down to the class Elizabeth was in for 

autistic kids. Their names were Abby and Mia. Abby and 

Mia played with Elizabeth at the end of the day.

They played with balls, dolls and trains. They had a lot of 

fun.

Soon, other kids started asking questions about 

Elizabeth and her school room. They asked things like 

"Is she nice?" and "Is she fun to play with?".

 Abby and Mia answered everything they could. The 

other kids now thought Elizabeth was cool!

One day in January, a boy named John asked if he could 

go to the autistic room with Abby and Mia. Abby said yes. 

John also had lots of fun playing with Elizabeth. He told 

his friend Eric.
