I have met many lovely people in my journey
of life. This rose lady was like a lost angel
who needed some kind words. She is not
around anymore but her rose bushes continue
to flourish.

The Rose Lady
Spring had sprung from its winter
hibernation. The tall trees were beginning to
stretch their lagging limbs. The beautiful colored
buds are quickly emerging from the wild bushes.I
expanded my lungs with the new morning air and
smiled.I was feeling so delightfully alive.

Love is a splendorous feeling. There would be
nothing that could stand in my way of enjoying
such a beautiful morning. The aromatic rose
bushes decorated the sidewalks along my path as
I walked through the little town of Rosethesay.I
could hear the distant peeps of birds delightfully
diverting the tranquility.

I had admired the most delicate pink rose
buds snuggled in their soft leafy nests. They
possessed various shades of mesmerizing beauty
displaying a tapestry of pure enlightenment.I
stopped for a brief moment and picked the
perfect bud to take home. I would admire every
little beautiful detail of the bud.

With the bud in my presence I could continue
to witness its grand opening as it lay in a crystal
pool of water. It was not long after holding the
beautiful bud in my warm soft hand when out of
the blue appeared a discontented elderly woman.
She stood before me in a veil of morning mist.

It appeared to look like a possible illusion. All
of a sudden the woman began to reprimand me for
removing a rose from her personal bushes.Having
separated the bud from its lifeline I felt by the
tone in her voice that I could never give an
acceptable excuse for my actions.

I tried to escape the scolding but found
myself frozen on the spot. With a quick touch of
ingenious verbal manipulation I began to turn her
discouraging words around with hopes that she
would see the lighter side of things.Words are
magical so I had hoped something very special
would happen.

When I did manage to get a word in edgewise
I quickly began to speak with soft, apologetic and
understanding words.As I spoke I began to
witness the softening of the wrinkles upon her
sweet face.I remained internally uneasy at the
beginning. I soon began to feel her demeanor
mellowing out.
