Once upon a time, there was 

a giraffe named Lily. She lived 

with her mother giraffe and 

her father giraffe in Africa.

Lily liked to have adventures, 

so one day she decided to get 

on a ship and visit someplace 

new.

"Goodbye!" said Lily. "See you 

in a few weeks!"

Lily walked all day and all night and all night and all day for 

five days. On the fifth day, when the sun finally rose over 

the hills, Lily saw exactly what she had been looking for.

Lily had found a town! She saw a girl walking down the path 

towards her. "Excuse me," said Lily. "Yes?" said the little girl. 

"Can you help me? I need to find a ship," said Lily. The girl 

said, "Oh yes! I can help you. Follow me!"

The girl brought Lily to the ocean. Sure enough, there was 

a large ship anchored in the bay. "Thank you for your help!" 

said Lily. "You're welcome," said the little girl. "Have a 

good adventure."

Lily enjoyed the ship. There were lots of people 

shouting and running and scrubbing and sailing.

She was especially happy that she could watch

out the porthole as they sailed. "What a grand 

adventure!" said Lily.

Lily sailed all day and all night and all 

night and all day for five days. On the 

fifth day, Lilly shouted, "Land ho!"

Lily walked off the ship and saw colorful train cars 

with pictures on them. "Animals!" Lily said. "This 

must be a circus train and these must be the circus 

animals' cars!" Then Lily saw a big red tent. There 

was lots of noise coming from inside the big red 

tent.

Lily walked into the tent. The Ringmaster 

shouted joyfully at the crowd. "WELCOME, 

welcome! Come ONE! Come ALL! Come 

see the wonders of the BIG... TOP... 

CIRCUS!"

Lily saw many amazing things at The Big Top 

Circus.

There was an elephant that balanced on a pink ball.

There was a tiger in a blue bow tie who played 

fetch with a flying blue toy.
