There once was an old pig who lived with her
three children. The eldest was Browny, the
second Whitey, and the youngest Blacky.

She first asked Browny, "What do you want
your house to be made of?" Browny promptly
said, "I want a house made of mud that has a
volume of 1200cm!"

One day the mother pig called her
children together. She said, "I feel I am
growing old and feeble. I won't live
much longer. My one final wish is to
build a house for each of you."

She asked Whitey, "And yours?" Whitey barely
lifted her head from the trough and said, "A
house made of enough cabbage to weigh
1000kg!" The mother pig was saddened by her
children's chosen materials.

The mother pig asked Blacky for his material, and he stated, "I want brick, as it will be the safest year
round." His mother was proud. "I want it to be 6 meters long", he said. The mother had them
built at once. She called children together again. "Beware of the wicked fox", she said.
"He'll approach you as a friend, don't fall for his trickery." The little pigs promised, as they
feared the fox. Soon, their mother died and they moved in to their homes.

One day Browny heard a soft knock at his
door. He quesioned who was at the door, and
the voice behind said, "I am a friend." Browny
knew the fox was there to get him, and told
the fox to go away. However, the fox saw that
the house was made of mud, and dug a hole 1
meter wide into the wall, climbed in, and
snatched Browny to take him away.

The next day, as Whitey sat peacefully munching on the cabbage of her home, the fox came
knocking. The fox began to use the same soothing voice that he did with Browny.
Whitey begged for the fox to not touch it. "If you eat a hole in the wall, the wind and rain will get in and give me a
cold", said Whitey. The fox disregarded her pleads and ate a hole 40 centimeters wide
through the wall, climbed in, and dragged Whitey back to his cave.
