the Art of Problem Solving" written by Greg
Tang, then you are missing out on an awesome
book. Where else can you read a book of
poems, find solutions to fun math problems,

Tang's book too.

In the Round
Learning about circles is not that complex.
You start in the middle which is called the vertex.
Learn about the encircling ray.
Please don't wait to learn this in May.
The circle is 360 degrees.
Isn't that info. just the bee's knees?
From the vertex to the ray is called the radius.
Learning this definitely is not hideous.
~Mariah

THE ODD FACE
Some people say that this face is mod.
Others may think that it's rather odd.
In math you often see, odd numbers like one,
five, and three.
Some other odd numbers are seven, nine, and
thirteen.
The even numbers think that we are mean.
We separate all of them, we're the numbers in
between.
~Terrence

The Points are Clear
The point of this poem is clear to see.
Decimals are as easy as 1, 2, and 3.
Decimals are used in different ways.
Like ordering, place value, and the things for which we
pay.
Without decimals well there would be no say.
It's good to know about decimals all the time.
This poem is about decimals and it all rhymes.
~Kayla

Irregular Shapes
Can you find a group of eight
In this picture of irregular shapes?
Look and find and you will see
That in one group there's a total of three.
If you don't know what irregular means,
It has equal sides and it doesn't lean.
You probably know that it's a shape,
There's more to it, make no mistake.
Irregular mean not the same size.
I've of all this with my own mind.
~LaWanda

Sameness
This artist made a masterpiece of congruent
shapes.
You'll notice the flowers are mostly the same
shape.
Add a similar size in these flowers nine.
You'll find they're congruent all the time.
~Jada

The Freaky Fraction
Looking at the eye, you'll see a fraction.
To find it out correctly may take a bit of action.
If you guess that is one-third,
You might be a bit silly or even a bit obsurd.
See when you take a look, you might try to find
contractions.
But all you see here is one mighty fractions.
I guess the time is drawing near
I'm sure the answer you really want to hear.
If the answer that you're thinking is 1/4,
You're absolutely right; you won't be banned
up north.
~Ladarrius

How Many Clouds Do You See?
Look at the sky. Tell me what you see.
Parts of a whole, is what it is to me.
In Math with numbers, we call it divide.
Separating equal parts is easy. From it you
shouldn't hide.
Since you will like this division because it's
really great.
Division of numbers, great and small,
It's all fun;that's not up for debate.
Division is cool and it will always be.
Come and solve some problems; just you and
me.
~George

Foursome
Look at this art
How many factors of four can be seen in your
heart?
Factors of four are 1,2,and 4.
Multiples, though, are a bit more.
Twenty-four,twenty,twelve,and eight.
Learning four's multiples can be really great.
~Chey

This piece of art is not odd but even.
I hope you will find it very achieving!
Even numbers like 2, 4, 6,and 10,
Will educate you every now and then.
Then when you go to school you can say,
I learned Even numbers in just one day!
With you're head up high you'll feel like a great,
Because 100 will be your rate!
~Amaya
