     Hi my name is Rufus. I went on vacation 

with my four aunties and had a really fun 

time. I hope you enjoy this book and book 2 

and book 3 and 4 and 5 and 6 and 7. The 

trip was filled with excitement from 

beginning to end. Sit back and enjoy the 

pictures and read about the crazy things 

that we did.

      I had my breakfast. I am waiting 

patiently for my aunties to arrive. I hope 

that I have packed everything that I will 

need for this trip. I feel sleepy because I 

got up really early. I am so excited to leave. 

Are you excited to share this awesome 

vacation with us?

     Okay. With a little help from my auntie 

Jan I am heading out the door. It seems so 

far to the car but my little legs are really 

strong. I think my legs are just as excited 

as I am. 

     This is the perfect seat for me. The 

seat belt is in place and I am all ready to 

hit the road. ‘Play some music please auntie 

Traci’. I like the songs that I can clap my 

paws to.

     Hi! This is auntie Wendy and auntie Jan 

is in the driver's seat They have the nicest 

smiles. Don’t you agree? They drove in a 

different car right behind us all the way to 

the island. Sometimes they would beep the 

horn to let us know we were not lost.

     This is the beginning of the long, long 

bridge that we drove across to get from 

New Brunswick to the lovely island of PEI. 

It was really high over the water and so I 

could not see the waves. That was okay 

because once we got off the bridge I could 

see the whole bridge. The bridge was so 

long. It was so cool.

      We drove a long way but we finally 

arrived at our motel. It had the numbers 

111. Auntie Wendy told me that these 

numbers can be very lucky. I wonder just 

how lucky we are going to be. For now all 

my aunties and myself unloaded the 

suitcases and entered our room. I feel all 

excited now.
