Okay! Let’s do this. I was going to go under 

the water and look for new plants and 

animals to study for the aquatic centers. By 

the way, I am Nicole. Did you know that 

70% of the world is covered in water! This 

includes five main oceans: the Pacific, 

Atlantic, Indian, Arctic, and Southern. I 

was very apprehensive, what happened if a  

shark began chasing me? I could not 

outrun a shark. They can swim 60 miles 

per hour!

The ocean is 36,200 feet deep and the 

deepest part is called the “Challenger 

Deep”. I am certainly not going there, for it 

would be too deep and dark. 1, 2, 3! 

SPLASH! I was under the water. All of a 

sudden I was not feeling apprehensive 

anymore! I was swimming all around 

joyfully. Then out of nowhere, I saw a 

whale swimming efficiently. The whale 

opened its big mouth and blew me away! I 

had no idea where I was!
