What is Photosynthesis?

Photosynthesis is the cycle where plants 

make their own food using sun, water & 

carbon dioxide to create oxygen and 

sugar. This all Happens in an organelle 

called Chloroplast.

Where Plants Get There Energy?

The Sun is where the energy for 

photosynthesis comes from. The sun reflects 

a ray of light on the plant. The plant uses this 

sunlight in its cycle of making food.

How Plants Get There Color?

Plants get their color from a pigment called 

Chlorophyll, which is located in the 

Thylakoids.The plant reflects back out Green 

and mostly use Blue,Violet, Orange & Red.

Light-Dependent Reactions

First step of Photosynthesis uses light and 

occurs in the thylakoid's membrane.During this 

process excited electrons bouncing across the 

membrane creates oxygen & NADPH.
