Many, many years ago, in a kingdom far, far 

away there lived a beautiful princess. She had 

beautiful big eyes and a gorgeous smile, that 

left everyone mesmerized. This princess was 

unlike most but she didn't know it at the time. 

Matilda had magical powers. 

Matilda woke up early one morning and saw 

that the forest was covered in mist. She 

quickly put on her dress, put on her shoes and 

headed for the door. 

Today was unlike other days, something felt 

different. When Matilda stepped out the door 

she saw a small light glowing in the forest. She 

started to approach it when she heard a voice 

singing. Sweet humming was becoming louder 

as Matilda moved nearer. 

"Hello princess Matilda" a voice said. "Hello, who are 

you?" She asked the unfamiliar lady. "I am Alula the 

fairy of flowers, I live in the forest" she said. "I've 

walked this path everyday and have not seen you 

before. What does a flower fairy do? I didn't think 

fairies were real" Matilda said. "Most people cannot 

see fairies, you are special and unlike most. We are 

coming into spring so my job is to help the flowers 

grow. As you explore the forest today, you will meet 

many magical creatures. Today is the first day you 

can use your gift. Have a   great day princess".

Matilda continued walking when just down the 

path she was approached by another fairy. "Hi 

princess, it's so great to finally be able to talk to 

you. My name is Clara and I control the clouds. I 

make it rain so the things in the forest grow" she 

said. "It's nice to meet you. You have such large 

wings, are you a different type of fairy?" Matilda 

asked. "I fly to the clouds so I have to have 

bigger wings for my job. Each of us fairies all 

have a different role. You will see soon enough, 

bye princess". She then flew straight up into the 

sky. 

Just around the corner Matilda ran into a huge tree 

that looked like it had a face carved into it. "I am the 

tree of wisdom. Have you come to me to seek 

advice?" The tree asked. "I didn't know trees could 

talk. I was just going for a walk, it's nice to meet 

you. I do have a question since you've asked, why 

can I see all this magic?" She asked. "You are the 

princess of a fairy queen. You have finally developed 

your powers so you can now see the magic of the 

forest" he said. "What is my power?" She asked. "You 

will see very soon my dear, you best be going"
