Little Alice got some money from her mom and 

was on her way to the store.   There she was 

going to buy a big chocolate bar, something 

she had not eaten in a long time.   Little Alice 

bought her chocolate bar and was brought it 

home. She left it sitting on the counter of the 

kitchen and went to play. But when Little Alice 

returned the chocolate bar was no longer there. 

"Where could the chocolate bar have gone?" 

Alice asked herself. She looked but could not 

find it in the kitchen so she decided to look in 

other places around the house.

Little Alice searched high and low, 

left and right but she could not find 

the missing chocolate bar. Alice was 

beginning to become very sad. "Where 

is my chocolate bar?" she said as she 

started to cry. But then she noticed a 

little piece of wrapper at the foot of 

the stairs. Little Alice looked at the 

wrapper and found out it was from the 

missing chocolate bar. So she started 

to head up the stairs to search once 

more.

Little Alice went upstairs following 

the pieces of wrapper left behind by 

the chocolate thief.   Slowly she went 

as she followed the trail step by step 

until she reached the front of her 

brothers room. Little Alice knocked on 

the door and called to her brother 

"Brother are you in there?"

The door began to open and in the room Little 

Alice saw her brother and what was left of her 

missing chocolate bar. Her brother asked "What 

do you want Alice?" Little Alice started to cry at 

the sight of her chocolate bar and her brother 

wondered why. Then Little Alice said "Brother 

you ate my chocolate bar" still crying. Then 

Alice's brother said "I'm sorry Alice I didn't 

know it was yours. How about this..." as he 

continued to whisper his idea to Alice she 

stopped crying and agreed with her brother. 

Little Alice and her brother then left the house 

and went to the store where he bought her 2 

big chocolate bars as an apology.
