July 15-20
I choose to visit France, Italy, Germany, and Norway
because all of those besides Italy are a big part of who I
am. The reason I choose Italy is because it's been a place
I've always wanted to visit. I'm over 50% Norwegian and
30% German, and A little bit French.
To go on this trip, the estimated cost is $4,500. The flight
was around $2,000. Food would cost you around $120. I
gave myself $500 on spending money. And the hotels
were around $1,500. And the attractions were around
$400 dollars for all of the attractions.
A would recommend you to go on this trip if your
background has anything to do with these countries. It
was amazing. Between the scenery and the attractions I
don't know what was better.

7:00-8:00p.m - Aquarium Mare Nostrum (Montpellier, France)

Paris, France

While in Paris, Rouen, and Montpellier
I had multiple people compliment me
on my teeth, for how straight, and
white they are. At first I was confused
but I finally found someone who could
explain it to me in English. Unlike in
South Dakota, the land in France is
very mountainous, and filled with
hills, and vineyards. The land is so
different. It’s as if you are on a
different world.

Rouen, France
For breakfast in Paris I had what they call a little lunch, and what we call
brunch. What I had to eat was some toast with jam, grapefruit, and some
brioche. For lunch I ate in Rouen at this fancy restaurant. For lunch I had
fish that was very well seasoned. It was cooked to a tee. For dinner I had
deep fried breaded Ox liver with morel (mushrooms). I choose this item
because I had never tried it before, and it seemed like an interesting meal
to eat. It wasn’t that bad, but at first I was hesitant.

Montpellier, France

When I had went to the mall after I got breakfast I was in
awe at all of the fashion in the stores. The Eiffel Tower is so
different upfront and in person. I’ve seen so many photos of
the tower itself, there is so much more to the building. All of
the engravings from wives and husbands, and from people
making their mark, it’s truly amazing. The Church of St.
Ouen’s ceilings were so high I couldn’t help but think of
Hogwart when I walked in. I next visited the Pic. St. Loup
mountain in Montpellier. This mountain was rich with life.
From plans to animals, I got so many photos that I can put
in my photo book. The last thing I visited was the Aquarium
in Montpellier. The exotic sea creatures were amazing, from
the tiny jellyfish that are so hard to see you need a
microscope to see them, to the fish the are only custom to
the shores of France.

Day 2- Country 2 (Italy)
8:00-9:00a.m - Taverna San Trovaso - Bruschetta con
Pomodorini/ Bruschetta with tomatoes (breakfast) (Venice,
Italy)
9:00-11:00a.m - Piazza San Marco (mall)l (Venice, Italy)
11:00a.m-1:00p.m - Gondola/ grand canal (Venice, Italy)
1:00-2:00p.m - Babette - Ravioli di castagne con ricotta al
timo e salsa ai porcini/ravioli with chestnut and Ricotta to the
thymus gland, sauce and mushrooms (Lunch) (Rome, Italy)
2:00-3:00p.m - Trevi Fountain (Rome, Italy)
3:00-5:00p.m - Colosseum (Rome, Italy)
5:00-6:00p.m - Rock Climbing - ASD climbing zone.
(Perugia, Italy)
6:00-7:00p.m - Risotto alla pescatora-Ristorante del Sole
(Dinner) (Perugia, Italy)
7:00-8:00p.m - Collegio del Cambio (Perugia, Italy)

Venice, Italy

The country is very colorful and spacious. Everywhere I
went I get the feeling of being relaxed, and everyone
welcomed me as if I were family. In some parts of Italy it
can be flat, but in most parts there were mountains
everywhere. The land was so mesmerizing it made me
forget about home, but just for a second. Another
amazing thing about Italy is it’s amazing weather. It
seems like it’s always sunny, always welcoming.

Rome, Italy
For breakfast in Italy the
eat a small portion of
bread or pastry with
toppings, so for breakfast
in Venice I ate bruschetta
with tomatoes.
The restaurant that I ate at, Taverna San Trovaso, had
excellent service. For dinner in Rome I had Ravioli with
roasted chestnuts, ricotta, mushrooms, and their one of a
kind sauce. I went to the restaurant Babette, which was very
elegant, the table had white table cloths, there were people
who pulled the seats out for you. For super in Perugia I had
Risotto, which is an italian dish that consists of rice cooked in
the broth meats and vegetables.

Perugia, Italy

Just like in Paris the mall in Venice didn't fail me…Everything was so
spacious and well put together. The gondola ride in venice on the
Grand Canal was something I hadn’t experienced before, to see all of
the other people commuting to the daily job, or to places they
always go, and to see how they were so relaxed, and happy with
their lives. The Trevi Fountain was so interesting to go to, because I
saw people who look as if it comes naturally to through the coin in
the fountain as if they have done it for years and years.

The Colosseum was so interesting to see in person, I’ve
written papers on the Colosseum, but to physically see
the history shining through at the sight of it was as if I
went back to when it was at its full potential. I’ve always
wanted to go rock climbing, so I decided I wanted to try
it. It was a challenge, but well worth it. The last place I
visited in Italy was in perugia, it’s Collegio del Cambio.
This place was made in the mid 1400’s and has
centuries of art work on it’s walls.
