This is a story about a young boy named Grayson, who loves helping his 

Grandpa on the farm. Grayson helps with many things, but becomes upset 

when he is not able to drive the tractor.   Grandpa sees he is upset and 

decides he needs to do something about it and he decides to give Grayson a 

surprise.   Grayson loves the surprise an cannot wait to tell everyone about 

it.  

In a small mid-west 

Wisconsin town,   lived a 

little boy named Grayson.

Grayson was an energetic and witty little boy, who 

knew more about tractors and farming than 

anyone I know.

Every evening around 3 o'clock, 

Grandpa would   get home from work 

and Grayson knew exactly what 

that meant.   It was time for chores.

Grayson was the best helper that 

Grandpa could have ever asked for.

He helped feed and water all the animals.

He helped call in the cows when it was time to start milking.

But there was one thing that Grayson never got to do.

Drive Grandpa's big green tractor.

Grandpa had built a special seat in the tractor so 

Grayson could ride along, but Grayson wanted to 

help even more!
