Many, many years ago, 

at the beginning of time, 

something incredible happened. 

It began with a spark... 

The Sun King Helios was a proud ruler. 

The Kingdom admired him for his bravery 

and charisma. 

He only had only one to challenge him.

Her name was the Moon Queen Lunaria. 

Rumors spoke of her fierceness and 

incredible beauty. 

And these rumors were all true.  

Tension continued to grow until one day 

the Sun King and Moon Queen decided

to battle for power over the sky

But when they finally met for the first time,

they fell in love

 Love at first sight is not something to 

   be explained. It just happens some 

     times when the feelings are   

        strong enough. 

And in this case...

                 They were. 

The two planned to abandon all of their 

responsibilities and run away together. 

But when the other gods learned of their plan, 

they forbid it. Love would only get in the way of 

their duties. 

And so, a spell befitting of

the gods was cast 

And Helios and Lunaria   were cursed to rule the 

skies together, but apart; forever out of each 

others reach... 

The sun would rise just as 

dawn approached, until dusk 

when the moon appeared. 

But there was one particularly cruel god, one who 

felt the most betrayed by their love. 

And so, he added and extra spell; in order for the 

Moon Queen to appear, the Sun King would have 

to die each night. 

Tears poured from Lunaria's silver eyes as she 

realized she could never see him again. And in 

order for her to live, to breathe... 

Her love would have to die for her. Not just once, but 

every night until the

end of time. 

All gods accepted this 

punishment, believing it 

fitting of the crime.
