One sunny day Pat the cat woke from a lovely snooze and looked up at the grey sky. Pat the cat really didn’t like the rain, she did not like getting her fur wet.

She went in search of a warm, dry place and on her way met Rita the cheetah. Rita the cheetah was in a right old flap and told Pat the cat to hurry to safety. “The rain is coming” shouted Rita the cheetah.

Pat the cat and Rita the cheetah went together to find a dry place and on their way met Pricilla the gorilla.
“Hurry” shouted Rita the cheetah to Pricilla the gorilla. “The rain is coming”.

So then Pat the cat, Rita the cheetah and Pricilla the gorilla went off in search of a dry place.
On their way they bumped into Clark the shark. “Hurry” shouted Rita the cheetah to Clark the shark. “The rain is coming”.

So Clark the shark joined the others and went in search of a dry place. As they were walking they met Kath the giraffe strolling along.
“Hurry” shouted Rita the cheetah to Kath the giraffe. “The rain is coming”.

Kath stretched out her long neck, had a look up into the sky at the grey clouds and decided to join them in search of a dry place.

They all went a little bit further before bumping into Bruce the goose. “What is going on”? asked Bruce the goose.

“Hurry” shouted Rita the cheetah to Bruce the goose. “The rain is coming”. So Bruce the goose joined in the search for a dry place.

They walked a little further still and then passed Jen the hen.
“Hurry” shouted Rita the cheetah to Jen the hen. “The rain is coming”.

Jen didn’t want to get her feathers wet so she joined the queue and went off on the search for a dry place.

Munching away on a big leaf, they found Dale the snail. He seemed unaware of the approaching downpour.

“Hurry” shouted Rita the cheetah to Dale the snail. “The rain is coming”. So Dale went along on the journey with the others.

Sat up in the top of a large conifer tree was Mo the crow. She too was worried about the weather and so was glad to see the others.

“Hurry” shouted Rita the cheetah to Mo the crow. “The rain is coming”. Mo didn’t need telling twice, straight away she joined the other animals in search of a dry place.

As the animals walked past the open fields they spotted Sam the ram. “Hurry” shouted Rita the cheetah to Sam the ram. “The rain is coming”.

Sam worried when his wool got wet in case it shrunk so he hurried to join the back of the queue and go off in search of a dry place.

The group trotted over the hump back bridge and below on the river was John the swan. John was used to getting wet but wondered where everyone was going.

“Hurry” shouted Rita the cheetah to John the swan. “The rain is coming”. He didn’t want to miss out and so he joined in for the search of a dry place.

As they passed the farmyard, Tony the Pony was running around and showing off his new shoes.

“Hurry” shouted Rita the cheetah to Tony the pony. “The rain is coming”. Tony wasn’t sure what Rita the cheetah was talking about but he wanted to show off his new shoes to the other animals and so he joined in the search for a dry place

Just around the corner they met Ryan the lion. “Hurry” shouted Rita the cheetah to Ryan the lion. “The rain is coming”. Without question, Ryan the lion joined the queue of animals all in search of a dry place.

Hiding around the corner, giggling away to herself was Meena the hyena. “Hurry” shouted Rita the cheetah to Meena the hyena. “The rain is coming”. Meena the hyena just laughed and laughed but she thought the search might be fun and so she joined in.

By the bamboo tree at the end of the road was Amanda the panda. She didn’t like rain at all. “Hurry” shouted Rita the cheetah to Amanda the panda. “The rain is coming”.

Amanda the panda looked up at the sky and thought it would be a good idea to join the others in search of a dry place.

Wrapped around a branch of the old oak tree sat Jake the snake. “Hurry” shouted Rita the cheetah to Jake the snake. “The rain is coming”. Jake the snake slithered over and followed the others in search of a dry place.
