Long ago in Tarry town, lived a small little 

mouse named Mindy. Mindy loved her house. 

She ate cheese in her house and did even 

more fun things like playing hop-scotch with 

her best friends Freddy the Ferret and Tarry 

the Turtle. As you might known Tarry is the 

mayor of Tarry Town. One day Mindy went out 

side of her little home going to get the mail, 

when she saw a sign that said house being 

condemned. Mindy was so sad that she 

instantly dropped her piece of cheddar cheese, 

and ran back into her house.

Everyday for the whole rest of the week Mindy 

started to pack up her bags one by one. 

Toothbrush, check!, new clothes, check!, bed 

sheets, “Hi there Mindy!” Shouted Freddy. 

“You scared me Freddy” Freddy and Mindy 

began to talk, and talk, and talk. When they 

were finally done Freddy was sad that Mindy 

was not going to eat cheese ever again. She 

thought it was cursed, and that it made her 

house be condemned. 

The next day it was finally moving day. She 

got her bags and left her little house. She 

came up the little curb and saw a bright pink, 

strawberry smelling house. Mindy gasps when 

she catches herself actually liking her new 

house. Then she walks in and sees all of the 

town in her new house! “What is this!” Mindy 

asked surprised. “It's a party that I threw to 

get you into the mood of cheese, and to tell 

her sorry that her house needed to be 

condemned.” Said Freddy. Oh thank you, so 

much, said Mindy.

So they were at the party having so much fun until 

they saw Mindy still not eating at the big cheese 

table. So Mindy’s friends all gathered around the 

cheese table and gave her a piece of cheddar 

cheese. Her favorite type of cheese was right there 

in front of her and so was all of her friends and some 

new friends that, she had no choice but to take just 

one little bite. One little bite will not hurt anything so 

she took a big bite of cheese and was happy once 

again, or so that is what she looked like. After all 

that she was still not eating cheese. But it was going 

to be her first day at Mouse High, she began to 

worry about not having anything to pack for lunch. 

The next day was the first day of school and 

everyone was there even her friends. Mindy 

did not know that they were all going to the 

same school. That made Mindy Marro   the 

Mouse very, very happy. Finally came lunch. 

She was scared that everyone would see her 

empty lunch box, with no cheese! When she 

sat down by her friends they all looked in her 

lunch box and saw no cheese! “Mindy where's 

the cheese?”
