One day Tibo cried in pain because he was alone, scared, and away from his mother and the other elephants.

Tibo had the bad luck of falling into a mud pit. The other elephants tried to get Tibo out, but they couldn't.

His mother and sister were very sad that they had to leave him behind. He was just left in the mud pit.

For Tibo, a rescue couldn't have come at a better time. Two men from a rescue group for elephants heard his cries for help.

The rescuers knew that Tibo needed help right away. They lifted him out and put him on small plane taking him to a wild life trust.

They took him to an orphanage for elephants. They nurse him back to health so that he can be among the wild again.

The orphanage decided it was time for Tibo to go back into the wild. He is back with his mother and sister again and so happy.
