Brooklynn's Birth 'Tea' Party

     Brooklynn loved being a little girl. She loved to dress up in her mommy's clothes and walk in her high heels. She love to put on makeup especially the pretty red lipstick. Brooklynn loved playing with dolls, read books, have lots of fun with all her favorite friends.

   

    Of all the things she loved to do with her friends and family was to have a 'Tea Party'. Brooklynn would pretend to have tea parties with her dolls and stuffed animals. It was always fun but she had dreamt many times of having a real tea party with real people. She wanted to have real fancy food and tea. This would make a tea party special in every way.

     Brooklynn is quite the imagination. She wanted to dress up in fancy clothes to make her feel like a princess. She was always entertaining her family and friends making them smile. It would not take a whole lot of persuasion to get Brooklynn to sing or perform for anyone. She would do her very best and enjoy the standing novation and lots of clapping from her audience.

     Brooklynn's birthday was approaching. Mommy had asked her what it was she wanted to do for such a special day.

     'I would like to have a real tea party with my best friend and favorite sister that I love so much' requested Brooklynn.

     Mommy was not at all surprised that Brooklynn wanted a real tea party.

     Nanny had stored away a few special tea party items over the years. She kept them wrapped in special tissue paper to keep them in good order in case one day she would have a tea party of her own. It had been nanny's dream to create a tea room where adults could come and visit. They could drink special teas and eat crumpets. One day my nanny will get her wish for her own tea room.

     For now Brooklynn would get the best decorated wish ever. Mommy and nanny had set up a small table with a lovely white tablecloth donned with lovely decorations. Nanny began to unpack three special tea cups that had been given to her by a great aunt and a great, great grandmother. The cups were the most beautiful pieces of china that the girls will ever imagine drinking from.

     One day those beautiful tea cups will be handed down to Brooklynn and Meghan. Mommy got dressed and set out on a visit to the market to purchase miniature croissants, tiny cinnamon buns, miniature cupcakes with daisies decorations on top, candy delights. Everything was beautifully placed on a china three tier stand. It looked so wonderful and delicious. It was all going to be so amazing.

     Fresh strawberries were displayed in a beautiful glass dish. Sliced cucumbers, carrot sticks and mini tomatoes were beautifully displayed around a bowl of tasty dipping sauce.  Napkins with white tiger lilies prints were placed beside matching plates and placed just as a princess would have loved it. The tea party was looking quiet extravagant. She knew Brooklynn would be so happy.

    Extra napkins were placed in a sterling napkin holder in the shape of a teapot. Pink butterflies surrounding the outside of the decorated table. It was so awesome. A table would never be complete without vases filled with wild colorful flowers. Nanny had selected the perfect flowers that would go well with the table setting. They were as pretty as the little ladies who made the tea party complete.
