Meanwhile Jake had a different plan. Jake wanted to decorate his house to surprise the Leprechauns!

Jake waited quietly in his room until he heard all the humans leave; they were going shopping so she had plenty of time.

Once he heard the door shut and the car start, he decided it was time. Jake pusehd the door open to check if the coast was clear.

"Hey Jake," called Buddy from the bed, "can I help?"

"That's awfully nice of you Buddy, but I'm going to do this all by myself." Jake replied
"Well... okay Jake," Buddy added with a sigh.

Jake took off down the hall ready to bring St. Patrick spirit to the house!

Jake started scooting the chair towards the kitchen drawers so he could get the supplies out.He pushed.
And he pushed.
And he pushed.
But it was no use, it was too heavy.

"I'll never get this house decorated in time now," Jake sighed. A tear welled up in his eye and rolled down his check. Jake didn't know what to do, his heart was crushed.

Suddenly, Jake heard Buddy's voice.
"This house can still be decorated, if we all work together to do it." Buddy said with a smile.
"Oh what a wonderful idea!" Jake cried. "I'm sorry I didn't accept your help earlier," Jake added.

Quickly, the friends ran over to the chair, and together they pushed it to the kitchen drawer. Jake grabbed the supplies.

Paper, crayons, glue and more were spread out on the table.

They cut out clovers, rainbows, and pots of gold. They wrote welcome and thank you signs to show the Leprechauns how much they care about them.

They hung up the rainbows .
