2

3

Jabari starts every day bright and early at 7 AM! He greets his keepers with an excited squeak and shuffle.

4
While keeper Bridgette lays out food and treats around Jabari’s yard, keeper Kim checks to make sure all is safe throughout his gates and yard.
5
When keeper Bridgette and keeper Kim are all done they open Jabari’s gate. Jabari squeaks and shuffles with excitement!
6

He rushes out to his yard to tell his savanna neighbors “Good morning!”. Abu the Giraffe grumbles back a low “Morning.” And Hannah the Zebra barks a happy "Hello Jabari!"
7
Jabari quickly begins to browse for yummy treats around his yard.
8

He finds sweet potatoes behind a rock, alfalfa next to the trees, and a big pile of juicy red apples next to his favorite log.

9

Once Jabari is all done snacking he decides to play a game. He wants to see how strong the horn on his head is.

10
His keepers told him that his horn is made of keratin; which is the same thing that your hair and nails are made of. Keeper Bridgette said his horn is very strong and keeper Kim said he can use his horn for a bunch of different things.
11

Jabari decides to pick up his favorite log. He hooks his horn into a notch on the side and lifts it into the air!

12
Jabari squeaks and shuffles with amazement! He IS strong.
