Hugo is an orphan who lives in a train station of Paris, France. The year is the early 1900's. Hugo lives alone behind a big clock in the train station.

Hugo: Is an orphan and takes care of himself, He is curious, determined and caring.
Isabelle: A girl who works at the toy store, she becomes friends with Hugo and helps solve a mystery.
Papa Georges: Man who owns the toy store, was once a silent film maker.

Time Period: Turn of the Century
In the early 1900's silent films were
becoming popular. Georges Melies
made a film called "A Trip to the Moon"
He disappeared and was not heard of
for many years. Hugo discovered that
Papa Georges was Georges Melies and
that Papa Georges had mad the
automaton that Hugo found in the
rooms behind the clock.
