"Why is this man standing here?" Jill asked.
"He is asking for help" Margret said.
"What does the sign say?" Tom asked.
"Its says "homeless and hungry" Margret said.
The children were silent for a moment as they stared at the man and his sign.

"Why doesn't he work and make money like dad?" asked Tom curiously.
"he looks too old to work!!" said Jill.
"No" objected Tom. "Grandpa is very old and he works." Tom said not convinced with Jill's answer.
"Where is his family, how come they do not help him?" Tom asked.

Margret listened attentively as the children tried to figure out the story of the homeless man.
Then she asked the children "Do you think that you should know his story in order to help him?"
"No." Both of them answered almost at the same time.
"Do you believe that this man is entitle to his privacy?"
9
"Yes." Answered Jill and Tom.
"Should we judge people because of the way they look?" asked Margret.
"No." answered the children.
"What is the best thing that we can do for this man?" Margret asked.
"Help him!!" Jill said.
"How would you help him, Jill?" Margret asked.
10
"We can give him food since he is hungry!!" Said Jill.
"How about you, Tom, how would you help this man?" Margret asked.
"Mmmm....I think he can use some water or juice!! oh, and a hat, too!!" Tom said excitingly.
"Great suggestions!!" said Margret.
11
"Then, how about we all go back home and see what we can bring to help this man? Suggested Margret.
Tom said "Yes, I can make him a PB & J sandwich."
Jill Said " I can put few bottles of water in a bag for him."
Margret said " Great, I can find him your dad's old hat and a pair of shoes."
