How did This disability Happen? It occurs when the 15th chromosome is deleted. Therefore the child doesn't have certain proteins that help different roles of the body.

Angelman syndrome happens during the first level of pregnancy it is passed on genetically from affected parents to childs defected genes.

This disability can not be prevented unless you know that past family members have it. Therefore you can be more aware and talk to your doctor about it!
