For Mookie's fifth birthday, he got a large
box from his Uncle.

Inside the box was a large stuffed animal
monkey. Mookie wanted a real pet and was sad
that the monkey wasn't real.

When Mookie went to bed he had a dream that the
Monkey came to life. When he woke up, he checked
to see if the monkey was alive. The monkey didn't
look any different so Mookie put him in his closet.

After lunch, Mookie's Mom said, "Mookie, please
pick up your room before going out to play."
When Mookie opened his closet to put away his
toys, the monkey jumped out and said "BOO".
Mookie almost hit the ceiling as he jumped into
the air with surprise. "You are real!".
The monkey jumped up and down and started
throwing all of Mookie's clothes on the floor.

Mookie, tried to grab the monkey, but he tripped on
his boot and started giggling when he saw the monkey
wearing his tie.
The monkey also started to laugh.
Then both Mookie and the monkey started throwing
clothes at each other.

When Mookie's Mom came into the room, she was
very upset to see such a mess. "What are you doing?"
asked Mookie's Mom.
"The monkey started it. He was throwing all my
clothes on the floor."
Mookie's Mom looked at the monkey and said,
"Mookie, what are you talking about, you just put a tie
on the monkey. Now clean up your room!"

When Mookie's Mom left the room, Mookie looked
at the monkey and asked, "Are you still alive?"
The monkey didn't move so Mookie cleaned up the
mess and put the monkey back in his closet. Then
Mookie went outside to play.

After dinner, Mookie's Mom and Dad read him
some stories and tucked him into bed. After they
left the room, Mookie heard some noises coming
from his closet. He got out of bed and opened the
closet. When he looked inside, the monkey jumped
out and knocked Mookie over.
"You're alive again!" exclaimed Mookie.
The monkey ran out and started playing the
drums.

Mookie yelled, "stop you're going to wake my
parents!".
He ran over to catch the monkey and his head
bumped into the symbol. Mookie and the monkey
started laughing and playing the drums together.
Mookie's Mom woke up from all the noise and
ran into the room.
"What on earth are you doing Mookie?"

"I was just trying to stop the monkey from playing
the drums" explained Mookie.
"Mookie, the monkey is a suffed animal, it can not
play the drums. It looks like you're playing the
drums. Now get back into bed right now and I'm
taking the monkey with me."
