Long ago, in a far-away place called Ithaca, lived a man named Odysseus. He was the king of Ithaca, bigger, better, stronger, smarter, than any other man. Odysseus was
so magnificent, in fact,
that people thought
him to be a god.

2
One day, Odysseus was called to war. His smart ideas won the war. But, when the war was over, he did not go back home. A god named Poseidon was angered at him for blinding his son, Polyphemus. So, Poseidon made sure Odysseus and his crew never made it back home to Ithaca.

3
After many years of sailing, they reached an island. Odysseus searched around for something, any clue as to who could live there. He spotted something in the distance.

4
He ordered that his men split up into two groups and to go look for and inspect the object he discovered.

5
What one of the groups found was Circe's house.

6
Circe is a very powerful goddess that lives in a large golden house and uses her magic
wand to turn men
into pigs.

7
A crew member knocked on the massive, magnificent, shiny golden doors.

8
But, when they were invited to enter, the leader of the group was skeptical, sensing it was a trap. So, he stayed behind, while the others proceeded to enter.

9
Soon after they entered, they began eating and drinking. And before he knew it, right before his eyes, Circe swung her magic wand and...

turned his crew into swine!
