Every day we rode our bikes to school and every afternoon we rode our bikes home for lunch. During my ride home, my sister offered me a peanut that she had in her pocket.

2
I unshelled the peanut and put both peanuts in my mouth and chewed one peanut. While I was chewing the second peanut, a small dog came running toward my bike and started biting my feet. I was startled and I got scared so I gasped and I accidently inhaled the peanut!

3
I was so scared. My chest hurt and I could barely breath. I was close to my house so I ran home and told my mother that I had choked on a peanut. At first she didn't believe me, because I could talk. How could I be choking if I could talk?

4
That night, my mom heard something rattling in my chest and she took me to the doctor the next day. They took and X-ray of my chest and what do you think they saw?

5
The doctors saw a small object stuck in the airway of my lung! It was the peanut that I had inhaled in there!
The doctors told my mother they had to do surgery to get the peanut out.

6

They did the surgery the next day and it was successful. They got the peanut out of my lung!
7
The next day I was able to go home. I was relieved that I was ok.

8
I recovered at home and was able to go back to school a few days later. My friends asked me where I had been and when I told the that I was in the hospital because I inhaled a peanut", they could hardly believe it!

9
I learned my lesson and now I don't eat food while I am riding a bike!

10
The End.
