It is Barry the birds first day of school! Barry and his older brother Bennett arrive at school.

Barry finds his way to class. He is very excited to make new friends outside the nest! But Barry has some trouble, all the other birds in his class are bigger and can fly! But Barry just can't fly!

At lunchtime Barry found some birds that are in his class, so he says, “Hi I’m Barry, can I play with you birds?”. Harry the Hawk replies “You could play with us, only if you weren't short and could fly!” All the other birds laugh whilst Barry waddles off sadly.

Barry comes home after a tough first day. He asks his mum and brother Bennett if they can teach him how to fly.

Bennett is trying to teach Barry how to fly, but Barry just can’t fly! Bennett gives up and goes back inside to eat dinner, but Barry won’t stop until he can fly! Barry doesn't want to give up. All he wants is to be able to fit in and fly!

Keep trying Barry!

It’s a new day and Barry arrives at school, hoping today will be a better day and he will make some friends. He is positive that today will be a better day!
