It seemed like a warm, sweet day in the city of Maplesville.
The sun was shining bright, and there was not a single cloud in the clear, blue sky.

However, evil was underway at the First Maplesville Bank. A robber had broken into yet another bank – the fourth in two weeks!
The Maplesville Police Department had not had much luck catching the thief, although he had only narrowly escaped each robbery. It was time that the police department call behavioral analysis consultant Simone Sleuth.

Simone Sleuth was the best in her field. But what exactly did she do? Simone would look at several crime scenes caused by the same culprit and begin to understand the behaviors and characteristics of the felon. She would be able to tell specific details about the culprit’s life and even predict how they would act!
Simone’s sleuthing skills helped many police departments catch criminals in the past! But could she figure out who the bank robber was?

7
Simone entered the police department and looked at the four bank robbery reports and recordings. She even went to the four banks and the homes of people who were at the banks during the time of the robberies. Simone spent a long time going over evidence.

Simone called over Detective Joe.
“Detective Joe, isn’t this interesting? This same thief has robbed four banks, but each time, he doesn’t take that much money! Also, in the video recordings of the robberies, it seemed like the thief was not very well prepared,” Simone said.

“What do you mean he wasn’t prepared?” Detective Joe asked.
“Look at how the robber behaves in each of the crime scenes!” Simon replied. “He fumbles around with his weapons at times, does not know the layout of the bank, and does not have a secure escape route! He only narrowly escaped from the police each time.
From looking at his actions, I think I understand this thief’s behavior,” said Simone. “I am going to give you a profile, some characteristics of this thief that should make him easier to track down and catch.

Most bank robbers are 20 to 35 years old, so that’s where I would think this thief lies as well. What’s interesting is that for each robbery, he doesn’t take much money. I think this robber is breaking into banks because he needs stimulation. He feels very bored in his home life. He is not prepared for any of these robberies, so I would say that he is very impulsive.

15
From my previous work with impulsive and boredom-driven criminals, I have learned that most of them think that they are greater than they actually are, have poor control over their behaviors, are irresponsible, and have had early behavioral problems,” Simone Sleuth said.
