welcome to minecraft!

minecraft is a sandbox game about building and 

and breaking blocks. to get started, select single 

player then hit new world. hit create! let the game 

load,then get started! first you need to get wood. 

to do this, mine a tree. to mine, hit button 2 (right 

click) and hold.

you will see a small block of wood. get closer 

and you will hear a small popping noise. this 

means that that you have collected this item. 

hit E to open up your crafting grid. then drag 

your wood to the crafting grid, and you will get 

planks.

now you have planks! you need planks for lots 

of things, so make sure you have a good 

amount of planks at all times.   Now you need 

sticks, so use the wood and stack it one over 

the other in your crafting grid.

now you need a crafting table. a crafting table 

lets you craft more advanced items. craft a 

crafting table by putting 1 plank in each square, 

like this:

next, you need a picaxe to mine coal, to make a 

picaxe you need 2 sticks and 3 wood. open 

your crafting table and place them in your 

crafting grid like this:

use your new wooden picaxe to mine coal. coal 

can be found in caves, or in the sides of 

mountains. coal looks like stone with tiny black 

dots in it.
