Kevin Gets Ready for Kindergarten

Every child is welcomed with opened arms and caring hearts as they prepare to enter Kiindergarten. It could be an emotional time for some and an awesome experience for others.

Kevin had two more days before it was time for him to try out his first day at Kindergarten. Mommy and Kevin had prepared a special day to buy all the things he would need entering his first class of kindergarten.

With a careful check from the list of things to buy, Kevin and mommy were ready to shop. Kevin really liked to shop but only for toys but today he was going to make a special effort to have an exciting time with mommy.

Kevin was all dressed and waited in his seat patiently for mommy. Mommy was very proud of how quickly Kevin was growing up but she did not want him to grow up too fast. She loved having her little man around creating all kinds of fun and laughter.

The first stop would be the shoe store. Kevin could not believe how many shoes he got to choose from. He wanted a pair of shoes that were fast and had flickering lights that would glow when he moved around. Mathew, Kevin's best friend, had a pair and Kevin thought they were so cool.

Mommy paid for the awesome new shoes and handed the bag to Kevin to carry. Off they went to another shop for some clothes. Kevin had grown quite a bit over the summer. He really needed lots of new clothes.

Kevin was just as happy to buy lots of clothes because he had his favourite shoes now and that made him very happy all day. It was a long time in the clothing store and Kevin was getting very thirsty. He could hear his tummy rumble too.

The sales clerk filled the bags with all the clothes mommy and Kevin had picked out. They got socks, T-shirts, pants and a nice warm coat for the fall. Mommy handed the sales clerk the money and thanked her for all the help she had given.

Kevin had remembered it was always nice to thank the sales clerk himself. The lady smile as such lovely manners Kevin had. She waved goodbye and said she had hoped to see him again soon. Off mommy and Kevin went to have some lunch together. Kevin wanted to eat at the pizza shop. Pizza was his favourite food. Mommy smiled and agreed. She also loved pizza too so off they went.

Mommy smiled at Kevin's face. She could tell he was day dreaming, probably about his first big day at Kindergarten. Kevin wanted to make plenty of friends and have lots of fun.

'Two more sleeps Kevin, before you go to Kindergarten. Are you excited?' mommy asked in a jolly voice.

'Yes mommy. I am really excited. I am so excited that I could jump and scream!' Kevin replied with beaming eyes and a huge, huge smile.

'No jumping and screaming in the restaurant Kevin. Save all your excitement for the big day' mommy suggested as she winked her eye.
