Bella

Whack ! Crack ! Bella loved hearing the crack of the bat hitting the softball almost as much as she LOVES softball. Bella loves playing softball for fun. One day, she wanted to be a legend just like her Aunt Sophie.

Aunt Sophie Bella

Her Aunt Sophie had played professionally on a softball team called The California Crashers. The California Crashers had won the World Championship, thanks to Aunt Sophie . Aunt Sophie was the best player on the team. She even had a field named after her. It was called the Sophie Johnston Field. The field was located in Sunville, California where Bella lived.

On Monday morning while Bella was taking a walk she saw a crowd by a tree. She came closer and noticed a sign about softball tryouts. The sign said "Tryouts Next Saturday". Bella was excited to tell her Aunt, so she rushed home.

"Aunt Sophie!!! I have some awesome news!" Bella exclaimed."What is this awesome news?"Aunt Sophie asked.

"There's a softball tryout next week!" Bella announced."You should try out. I bet you'd be great!" Aunt Sophie assured."Maybe Aunt Sophie, but if I did make the team I would never be as good as you!" Bella complained . "You could be better. Come on , I'll coach you"

By the next day, Aunt Sophie had finally convinced Bella to try out for the softball team, but Bella was worried that she would be horrible at tryouts."You'll be fine honey!" Aunt Sophie assured.

The next couple days, they practiced for the tryouts. The first day, Bella only made singles. The second day she made 2 doubles and struck out 3 times. The third day, she couldn't even make one hit!

"It's hopeless!!!" Bella cried. "Let's try out fielding," Aunt Sophie advised. For the rest of the week they practiced out fielding. Bella did a good job. She got Aunt Sophie out twice and caught the ball 4 times.

Go Bella ! You got this !

The day of the tryouts finally came. When it was her turn to bat, Aunt Sophie cheered for her from the stands."Go Bella! You got this!" Aunt Sophie exclaimed.

Whooo!!! Awesome job Bella !

The first pitch came. Bella hit a single. On the second pitch, she hit a double and stole third base. The final time she hit a triple and stole home plate. "Whoooo!!!! Awesome job Bella!" Aunt Sophie cheered. In out fielding she got 4 runners out.
