My birthday party was great. My friends Aryan, Micha and my sister Natasha came to the party. We all went to see the brand new movie Tarzan. It was a good movie and after it finished me and my friends went back to my house. We just screwed around playing games and stuff. Nothing too special really but nether the less it was an amazing birthday party. If only my birthday was like that day.

Two weeks earlier (24th June) school was the same - lots of learning, listening and walking alone. Nothing unusual but I felt a little bit of hope for my birthday being a fantastic day. Some nice people that I genuinely admired and respected asked me to hangout with them on the bus at the end of school. Normaly I'm too shy to be around them. I was shy for the duration of the ride but still had fun. We talked about our familes. They told me how their family loved them and I told them how my dad is always busy. I felt a little bit of hope for my birthday being a great day but as always my hope would die out

About 30 minutes later, at 4.30, I arrived at my stop. I walked down the road then arived at my house with a big smile still wide across my face. Immediately I realised my dad's car was no where to be seen. I went to the main room, my sister's room, then dad's room. I walked into the kitchen and saw a cake and two gifts placed on the table. I put the cake into the fridge and called my dad. He picked up the phone and told me he was still at work at a meeting. The second I heard that I said goodbye and hung up. I knew there was no point in listening and no reason to waste my time listening to his to his long story. This would always happen every day. I didnt even need to call big sis to know that she was with her boyfriend.

HAPPY 14th BIRTHDAY ZANE
I sat in my room. I felt hollower than I normally am. I was bored so at 4 pm I decided to go on a walk. I grabbed my hoodie and wallet. As I walked out of my house I was greeted by a high pitched meow then by a gentle purring sound. My fluffy little cat Leo wanted to play. So I played with Leo for a minute and after that I was on my way.
I had a good long hour walk to think about today. Did it help that I'd hung out with those people or did it build me up so i could be broken down? Did I over react about no one coming home? Why did I bother to go anywhere if I still dont feel any better?
