Setting

EMT Center:

Plain, Sterile, Cold, Waiting for action always on edge (False comfort, tries to look like a home)

I chose this setting to represent the mood of the story because you never really can tell what is going to happen next and what the characters will feel from chapter to chapter. Also because it is based around a death it is somewhat "cold", It gives a false sense of security looking like a family room when really you just wait for the next call.

Exposition

Before the Story:

-Seth best friends with Jenna & Franny (sisters)

-Seth was dating Franny, got in a car accident

-Franny died

-Jenna hates Seth but they are both in the EMT's

Storyline:

-Jenna and Seth are trying to get over the death of Franny

Seth and Jenna join EMT Squad

Seth goes skating for the first time since before the accident

Jenna watches Seth hurt himself at ice rink

Seth realizes he wants to save people for a career

RISING ACTION

Seth watches Jenna skate like Franny at the pond

Jenna and Seth start to get along better

Cabby gains a big interest in Ice Skating

RISING ACTION 2

Winter starts to increase

CLIMAX

A huge ice storm covers the town leaving cars sliding off the roads and keeping people locked inside. The roads are too slippery for ambulances and tow trucks so Seth and Jenna use their ice skates, leave the EMT Truck, and go out to rescue people and find Jenna's mom and sister. Seth risked his life in doing this to try to make up for what he did to their family.

FALLING ACTION

Seth takes care of Jenna's mom

Jenna and Seth stay in the car with her family to keep them safe and warm

Jenna tells Seth that she wants to talk everything over and give him a chance

They wait for Emergency response teams

Resolution

Seth is forgiven for the accident, even though he made a bad decision he suffered the consequences but he isn't a bad person because of it. Jenna and her family can finally start to cope with their in the right way with the help of Seth.
