One Monday morning, Lucy and Alex were walking to school together.

On the way, they saw a spider's web. The spider was spinning a beautiful web with her thread. A fly was caught in the web; it was the spider's breakfast.

WATCH OUT, FLY!

It was nine o'clock. They ran to school but they were late. They said they were sorry and explained that they had met a spider.

SORRY WE'RE LATE, MR MINSKY

Alex said that it was a giant spider with an enormous web and they had got caught in the web and couldn't escape. Mr Minsky, the teacher, listened carefully.

Mr Minsky asked Alex and Lucy to show him their Geography homework.

HERE IS MY GEOGRAPHY HOMEWORK.

The next day, in Tuesday, Lucy and Alex were walking to school when they saw a new fountain. They had a drink and started splashing each other. They were completely soaked.

ALEX I'M GOING TO GET YOU!

COME AND HAVE A DRINK, LUCY.

It was ten past nine. They ran to school but they were late. They said they were sorry and explained about the water. Alex said there had been a tidal wave and they had to hold on to a lamppost to save themselves.

Mr Minsky was not happy and told Alex and Lucy not to be late again and to go and change their clothes for P.E.

GO AND CHANGE YOUR CLOTHES.
